I'm confused about Glock Gen4

Absolutely! I replaced / upgraded all my blocks to gen4's via sse.
I (and my wife) prefer the gen4 grip size and texture. If you can,
Compare gen3 & gen4 models side-by-side, then decide.

Red Skull in Milpitas had a couple Gen 4's on consignment not too long ago

I believe they had RTF and some in FDE as well.

Gen 3 is the way to go. Don't overpay for something that has very little improvement over the flawless Gen 3.

I must admit I do like my gen 3 and gen 4s. Gen 3 for 10MM with the wide variety of recoil springs is very good. Heck, I even love my 1992 Gen 2 Glock 17. Really a smooth shooter with a smooth grip.

Just wish glockamole would get rid of their horrible plastic sights and cone standard with a better slide stop/release

I favor the gen3 (only because I have 10 of them) but the gen4 ergos are much better

I'd rather they come with cheap placeholder sights than be 50-100 more and come with sights I don't want. Like big 3-dot or something. Ugh

I see Gen4 Glocks for sale in the Marketplace, but on the California Roster website, when you search for Glocks on the roster, there is a statement at the bottom of the page that says "No Generation 4 Glock handguns have been approved as of: Wednesday, October 07, 2015."

Are all these Gen4's for sale from out of state? That's the only explanation I can think of...I'm looking at the purchase of a G19 and want to know whether to consider a Gen4 in the mix...

Pay to play or go gen 3. Missed the boat by almost a year on sse. I wouldn't sell any of my gen 4 for double or triple retail.

You get to put the sights you actually want... Everyone's tastes vary as do application.
