    Springfield Loaded vs TRP

So I am going to buy a 1911. From my research I am either going to get the Springfield Loaded or the Springfield TRP (no rail). The TRP without a doubt is the better 1911, but it is also almost 2x the price. I am most likely not going to be using this gun for self defense, I just want to add a nice 1911 to my collection. I am kind of out of my element on this one which one should I buy and why?

I have a couple "Loadeds" and a TRP. They are all very nice, but the TRP is a noticeably nicer piece of equipment. If you want a range gun that you might even use for defense or carry someday, the Loaded is perfectly fine. They are very nice guns and come with excellent options, especially for the money.

I started with the Loaded and even though I really liked it I sold it and picked.up the TRP. Save your pennies and get the TRP. Not too sure it will be double the cost as the Loaded's seem to go for around $900 and the TRP can be had for around $1,400 OTD. Picked mine up off of Gunbroker and with shipping, tax, transfer and DROS it was $1394.
      **** your feelings!

You get what you pay for. The loaded is perfectly fine but the TRP is as close to a custom gun as you can get off the shelf with had fitted parts. There's a reason it's more expensive.

If you have the scratch the TRP is a great 1911 for the money.

I own both. If you can afford a TRP, get one. It's worth it.

+1 for the TRP but be careful...1911's are an addiction and few stop at only 1. The next one will probably cost twice as much as the TRP! Don't ask how I know...😁

TRP. Then you end up tempted to build custom guns... =/

                      I love the TRP

Trp will lead you to custom 1911 or to Glock
