This problem is easily solved. You can proactively post the estimated round count for all the young, novice, and probably lacking money (your words, not mine) Calgunners who frequent the for sale section, then you will no longer get those PMs. Everyone wins!

      Blah, blah, blah...

BTW "blow hard", "blow-hard" and "blowhard" are all accepted forms of that term. If you were as smart as you seem to think you are you would know that.

To me, round count is only important for barrels chambered for overbored cartridges. It will give me an idea of how much useful life is left in the barrel. But, it is only used as a guide.

I am new enough to admit I don't know a whole lot about guns.
I've been coming here to learn more and I have.
I would have enjoyed this thread had it been posted in a positive manner giving us lesser souls a list of things to look for instead of just slamming us as idiots because many of us do pay attention to round count as a starting point.

Nobody asked you to be politically correct, but it would've been nice had you been courteous.

There are actually many of us that track their rounds fired per gun, more of a training tool then anything else.
When I look at a for sale gun, I like to see a round count. If there is not one posted I figure it's probably pretty high. Why does it matter, in the gun market place most guns have low round counts(to me anything under 5000 is low)and I'd much rather buy your 2000 round occasional range/pistol course gun then your 20000 round hard use training gun.
Sure people can and do lie about it, but that is were the hands on inspection comes in. The round count lets me know if I wont to invest the time to personally check out the gun.

Round count is a Calguns exclusive. That being said its about the most

                    Where's a Mod?

In short, some use round count as part of their evaluation process when buying a used firearm. Others do not.

Some think round count is important information others think it isn't.

I'd say it is time to /Thread.

This thread blows hard. If it makes a buyer feel better I can make up a round count for them. I owns vast numbers of guns so quite a few have round counts of less than a few hundred. So many were purchased used so I have no idea of round count.

I don't like being called a liar, my word and honor are big to me but many cgners will call you out saying no way a gun can have so low a round count. Actually for many reasons many used guns can have very low round counts sometimes 0 since factory testing.

Many people also can't afford to shoot enough ammo to rack up huge round counts nor do they have the time to do so. I actually knew a guy that would track round counts exactly on a gun or two he could tell you like he fired 963 rounds out of his Beretta.

                          The trend continues.

First it was this thread that was "Done" and "Done": http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1114075

Now this thread is "Over with" and "All done".

It must be OP's first time selling on Calguns. A+ for being a know it all. F- for not being able to sell your lot. Huffing and puffing about questions buyers ask is part of the game. You must have been a salesman before calguns.

It doesn't matter if the buyer is young or old, novice or pro, have money or Is on budget, money is money and what matters is getting the sale.

I keep track of the round counts on my guns, basically just for my own benefit. It's not hard to do. Paste a sticker inside the factory case, shoot 50 rounds, write a 50 on your sticker. I think it's worthwhile info when buying a gun, but certainly not the most important thing. I have a pistol with 250 rounds through it and one with 19,600 rounds. Both look almost new. If I were buying I would tend to prefer the one with 250 rounds.

Were you born with all this knowledge and experience ? Did you skip that time in your life and go straight to" know it all " ?Instead of preaching and talking down to these younger inexperienced gun enthusiasts you could share the knowledge with them instead of ranting .
