A "bone stock" G17 is fine. If you really would like to "add to the 17", add a G19..

Maybe more Glocks? There can never be enough. Disregard all imposters and demand genuine Glock pistols. Those zombies sure aren't going to kill themselves

          I've got night sights,
          extended magazine release,
          extended slide stop lever,
and a slip on rubber grip sleeve.

Will be replacing the grip sleeve with Talons,
and doing the 3.5 lb. trigger - both already on some of my others.

Considering the flat and straight 3.5 pounder from Suarez

          We shall see.

First off, Glocks do not need anything to make them run and run accurate. In my opinion, the only reason to try and improve on a stock Glock is if you're going to be engaging in competitive shooting. Otherwise, keep it stock. The only thing to do is to improve the ergonomics. Have a reputable shop stipple the areas to improve your grip and maybe do a grip reduction if needed for better fit.

Having said that, these are some other mods you can pick and choose from that you can make to your Glock:

            -Adjustable/target sights
            -Heavier guide rod
            -Titanium plunger
-Adjustable (take-up/creep) trigger, disconnector, complete trigger, etc...
            -Titanium striker
            -Marine spring cups
            -Match barrel
            -Extended controls
            -Adding a mag well
-Slide Milling (as needed-front serrations for example)

OEM extended slide release made a big difference in my G17.

Besides maybe polishing the feed ramp, It's about the only thing that improves reliability of the firing sequence/operation.

Mine is still bone stock. Sights and all. Best addition for me are more magazines and ammo.

                    Sights....
                    Extended slide stop.
                    Grip plug

Depending on hand size, grip work/tape and ext mag release.

Light....dont go 500 lumens like people suggest....way too much for indoor applications....200-300 lumens. 500lumens will blind you like crazy in real world applications inside houses/rooms.

My preferred setup for a home defense / carry Glock is :

Polished factory (-) connector to lighten the trigger up
Trijicon HD sights with the orange ring
                      Surfire XC1 weapon light

Some Glocks are NOT reliable, even venerable Gen 3 Glock 17's... I got a lemon and had to replace the ejector / extractor... Somehow along the way I did a ton of other stuff to it and it's nowhere near stock anymore, but it IS reliable now.
