Any corporation with physical presence in CA is required to collect CA tax so virtually every large corporation such as Beretta will have to charge you tax even if they only have, e.g., showrooms. It is not related to manufacturing or shipping.

OP I hope you did get your beretta 87T.
Got mine a few days ago and have been giving it the treatment, it shoots straight and precise, the chamber is tight so it does not like dirty dull bullets, I have tried Fiocchi, winchester, CCi, remington, different weights and speeds and thus far a few "golden bullets" failed to fire,I noticed the failure to fire rounds did not chamber smoothly, but all shiny case bullets fired and ejected with no problem.
I did fit a trigger from a Beretta 89 and there is less take up and of course no after travel, enjoy your New toy!

Waiting to get one out of jail. Any suggestions on a red dot for it?

Base pads are different. Check E bay for 89 mags. Be prepared for sticker shock.

The Bushnell TRS-25 works well with it.

Not a Beretta, but a good solid accurate shooter. The tag is the factory target.
