Been there OP...I impulse purchased a Springfield 1911 Loaded from Turners, which I recently sold and impulsively posted "I'll take it" in 2 posts just this past week.

The wife doesn't check the safe or my trunk very often.

What about the checking account? That's where I get burned.

I've been waiting a long time for mine ordered from Buds at a much better price but I still don't have mine. I hope you do get yours sooner than not but I don't think you'll be seeing that gun anywhere near what they quoted you. I bet we'll all get them next year after SHOT.

I never question any of her purchases....when she finds out about the gun...she's gonna wanna shoot it and if she likes it then she'll say it's her birthday or Christmas present.

You might get it in that time frame, if springfield happens to do a run on them right now. They are sporadic .

This is evil...I withdraw few hundred periodically from the ATM to save up for a purchase. To a gun store, I pay some in cash and some on the credit card.

Sadly, the bags that my wife buys, I could easily buy 2 or 3 TRP full rails for each of her bags

1. Do not tell her until Turner's has it for you for certain.
2. Tell her about the buy one, sold one rule (you sold me one a while back).
3. It will instantly be more more valuable once you have it.
4. It is your birthday and Christmas present so she does not have to think about it.
5. You will do laundry and dishes for a week plus make sammiches.
6. Get kneepads.

this seem like a lot of work but I do follow these rule, especially number 2.

Do they still make the full rail variant? Those are sweet guns.

It's actually the only TRP model thats on the roster with the rail. The 3/4 rail isnt for some reason.
I was going to get a 3/4 rail TRP when looking at MC Operators. Didn't like the disassembly of the TRP though.

Turners is good about refunding the deposit as long as the DROS hasn't been run. They gave me a refund before.

Had the same experience when I went back for my deposit on an MC Operator. Searched everywhere and stumbled across 7 of them at a Kentucky store. Ordered online and had one transferred instead. Turner's refunded my deposit quickly and without any fuss.
