Freedom Mun is on the weak side, but that shouldn't be an issue for a revolver as the 9mm has been for some semis. If I were you I'd go to Cabela's and get some Herter's. They have .38 spl for $15.19 minus 10% off and free shipping on a $99 order. That's about 27 cents a round delivered, not far from the price of reloads at Freedom. That Herter's .38 is pretty hot. Some complain that it burns dirty, but I swear by it. If your gun gets dirty, clean it. Last day for this deal, so if you want it, get it now. http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/produ...C=cat104372280

Oh, and by the way regarding the bullet weights, your might be different but my 4" GP100 has been much more accurate with the 158 gr bullets. I've heard other GP100 owners say the same thing. When I first got mine I bought quite a bit of 130 gr UMC. Not sure if it's because of the lighter bullets or because it's UMC, but those have shot all over the place. Herter's, PMC, MagTech, and Federal 158 grs have all been good in both .38 and .357. Surprisingly I shoot the .357's better than the .38's. Tighter grip maybe?

On my GP its more to the center. But if your cylinder locks up and it fires fine, just enjoy it. I love mine.

Is it just me or do those primers look to be a bit over pressure? Reminds me of extremely HOT reloads.

If the brass is sized small, the cartridge will lay at the bottom of the cylinder, and the primer impact will be off center.

Just you. There is nothing about those primers that says over-pressure. The edge of the primers are still round as is the radius around the firing pin impact.
