Why do you think the 97b will not be on the roster next year? Do you work for CZ or have inside information that they are not going to keep it on the roster? Or are you just speculating? Dont assume that just because all the guns on the roster have an expiration date that they wont be on the roster next year.CRPA and NRA member.

From what I've gathered on the Net is that CZ will make about 500(*) copies of the CA 97B. After this batch is gone, they're gone for good. Roster or not is irrelevant. CZ will continue making the later version of the gun, but no more CA version. As early as last year, it was almost impossible to find a 97B, let alone the CA version. Then all of the sudden, CZ flooded the CA market with its 97B. However, it's still rather hard to find the CA version anywhere, other than Riflegear which still has several left. I have 2 97B/BD and still want to pick up 1 more. Never got tired with CZ's.Why do you think the 97b will not be on the roster next year? (*) There is a member here (don't recall his nick) that seems to be well connected to CZ, perhaps a CZ dealer of some kind. He came here to let us know that CZ will soon release a batch of CA 97B couple weeks prior to the actual release. True to his words, several weeks later CZ flooded the market with the 97B & SP01. The "500 copies" is his number if I'm not mistaken.Comment

Thank you OmegaTrader for answering lightcav's question. I was told this by my LGS and was confirmed by other people working at other stores too. It's logical that CZ will no longer make the California 97B once this run is over. They have already changed the sights and grips to improve on the gun. I can't see why anyone would pay the same price if they could choose between the California model vs the current model, except for us lucky people who live in CA.Comment

I really dont care about all the repetitive CZ, glock, 1911, hk threads etc. Just post pics and every thread is justified!Comment
