I was finally able to DROS my second SP-01 today. I'll probably use this one to tinker with since my other one is stock.

This was one of the sale priced ones at Discount Gun Mart.

I'm thinking of a SP-01 Shadow upper with accu-bushing. Maybe a Long Slide Conversion. Not sure yet.

You will probably regret selling your CZ 97B but I do understand that shooting .45's is more expensive but for resale, the 97B will probably go off roster next year while the SP-01 will still be around.

Yeah, but we are stuck discussing (primarily) on roster CZ's. It is too depressing hanging on those other forums where people are buying cool CZ Custom guns for cheap.

As with any build you need to know what your goals are.

If you plan on using it for IDPA, the Acu Shadow Bushing is a no go.

If you plan on using for USPSA Production, then you might as well get a Tac Sport Rear Adjustable sight installed while you are at it.

In either case, you can get a Pre-B Disconnector or a CGW Type 1 (Type 3 if you are skilled Disconnector to reduce the pre travel in Single Action Mode.

If you want to use it for USPSA Limited Minor, then you can even throw a single action trigger on it. This is probably the only division that allows a CTS Longslide Shadow on an SP01 frame.

If you are just using it for plinking, you should ask yourself is it worth it?

If it helps any, on the first page alone there's 40+ threads to click on that don't mention CZ right there in the title.

I rented a CZ P-01 a couple weeks ago to see what all the hype was about. It was ok but i didn't love it enough to buy it on the spot and run home to build it a shrine. Beyond its good looks it didn't wow me. This CZ hype is a little over the top, imo.
