Not shooting the Python is like not having sex because you might wear The Johnson out.

However, of all the boxed Colts I've ever owned, this was the first to come in a bag with the factory coating.

I think we have it pretty much figured out, so now I need to give thought how to maximize my profit in this market.

I have other projects pending, and the Python will help fund them.

        Thanks!
Ah... I see that is not the only lube being applied

Yep, the current market is vasellating on what seems to be a weekly basis.

I bought a Python several years ago, and decided to leave it in my safe at my parent's house. A few went by, and I told my dad that I bought another for him to shoot since he was so interested in it. His reply was classic... "Why would you buy another one? Besides, I shot the one in the safe already." On top of shooing a NIB Python, he threw away the box. It was a six inch nickel with wood grips. Oh well, that's life. Enjoy the gun whichever way you deem fit. Your money, your gun, your choice.

I don't think so at all. I wouldn't have had the heart to shoot it, but my dad didn't care. He enjoys his guns and his life when he wants. Since then, I've gotten a few more Pythons anyway, and he shoots them all. I just wish he would clean them.

Nice Colt OP. Good on ya'.
No witch hunt just proof that yes in the first posted photo that there is a turn ring bodger-do you deny that? Get glasses.

Pull the grips and lube it up to prevent rust...good investment.
I had a Python long before they were "the thing". Shot ok but I have had much more impressive shooters.
That being said, they sure are beautiful revolvers.

I own 2 Pythons, a '78 6" and a '79 4"... The 6 inch, though not NIB, was 99% when I bought it. After about 500 rounds through it, it is now in about 98% good... If you just want to look at it, take a picture... If you want some fun, take it out and feel why the trigger on it is a legend... Sweetest gun I ever shot...
The 4" was about 90% when I bought it, but will go to my grave with me... Put at least 1000 through it, and it looks the same as when I bought it... Just take your time and clean the thing right, but give yourself a reason to clean it... These guns were meant for the range... Don't leave it disappointed....
