Creep comes from the engagement* you have between the hammer hooks and sear face.. It originates from how much travel the sear goes through before slipping free from the hooks.. Polishing alone will not remove your creep. For that you will need to recut the sear and/or the hammer hooks.
I cleaned up my trigger creep using a true radius jig to cut the primary angle as well as reducing the height of the hammer hooks using a shim and some stones... It's now very, very crisp..
With the right tools and some proper understanding, it's a very repeatable process.. But admittedly, unless you're comfortably proficient with that kind of project, a 1911 gunsmith is the best route to take..
