    Sig P220 Questions

    Looking into a Sig P220.

The Sig line is very confusing to me. I noticed some say "8 or 10 rounds". Others just say "8 rounds". Can someone explain this to me?

Isn't it just a matter of the magazine?

Sig makes 8- and 10-round magazines. The 10-rounders stick out of the magwell a bit.

Yup, 8 round mags are the standard. 10 rounds mags are available, but they stick out the bottom of the frame

Look up pics of the 220 combat. You'll usually see pics with the 10 rounders in. You'll see. It's like they just added a plus 2 floor plate. Carry on.

Personally I prefer the older 7 round mags. just like 1911's though... 7 is now 8.

Ok, that's what I figured. Just didn't understand why some only said 8. Probably just poor web support

The 10 round mags stick out about two inch. 8 round is flush.

.45 is a big piece of lead and you can only fit so many in a magazine well. Quit yer whining or go to 9mm.

It is more likely because the 8 rounds mags are considered standard.

They really don't sell a lot of the 10 rounders, because they do stick out quite a bit

The current 8 round mags actually stick out below the frame also, but it is set into the bumper pad so it isn't as obvious.

The original 7 round mags would fit more flush with the frame. They're my favorites...I prefer the dovetail ones over the zipper back ones

Sig 10 and 8 round mags, the 8 round are standard (now, was 7 back in the day)the 8 rounders are not flush, stick out a little(10's a lot) only the older 7 round mags are completely flush fitting.
