Are you shooting single or double action to get those groups?

        DA is a challenge!

SA ... I'd say the S&W SA trigger is BETTER than a 1911 trigger. There is NO MOVEMENT from the second your finger touches the trigger until the shot breaks. With a 1911, there is still a touch of movement. If we're splitting hairs I mean!

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

        There. Are. Four. Lights!

Went to the range again today. I adjusted the rear sight down so I could have a POA/POI. It worked! Shooting 357 is really awesome! Might have to pick up another revolver. 44 mag could wait.

I like Wolff reduced power rib & light rebound springs.
                Cheap, and easy.

Brother, go with the 44 Mag. So much fun to shoot. It really is. It is a big blast, but lots of fun. Especially for your snooty range neighbors. To heck with them.

this is a shot of a Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 5" barrel. It's great. Reloading helps. (Lee Turret Press for 44 Mag.)

Dang. The back of my neck is starting to look like a pack of hot dogs. Next time I'm at Supercuts, Rounded, not squared. ROUNDED!

Shooting 38 specials were like 22 loads on a 6 inch barrel. So soft shooting! The .357 load had some kick to it and it was fun! But I don't think I could shoot 357 all day. I hear the party from the next stall kept saying daym every time I shoot the 357 loads.

The red ramp on the S&W is clear. I use POA/POI like my 1911s. I guess it is shooting a little bit high? The rear is adjustable but did not touch it. I might play with it on the next range trip.

Now I'm debating if I want another 357 revolver or a 44 magnum. Thinking about the 686 + Pro series or the competitor. If I get the 44 mag, I might not shoot it as much due to expensive ammo (I don't reload) or I'll just get it so I could have a 44 mag on my collection. Decisions...

Ammo used: 50 rounds Armscor 158 grain 38 special
                      50 rounds WWB 130 grain 38 special
                      100 rounds PMC 158 grain .357 magnum

I recently picked up one of these. I have a bunch of semi autos but this is my first revolver. It is currently fighting my MC Operator to determine which is my favorite handgun.

You're right about the .38 specials feeling like a .22. When I first shot the .38 special, I thought I had a dud round or something. I literally felt like a cap gun going off.

Got this Galco Holster for it on Amazon.. fits like glove..

My gp100 handles full power 357 loads like a 22 mag or 223. Now my 686+ 2.5" takes it to another level and it does have a big kick to it.

Nice acquisition BTW. This won't be your last revolver. Good pictures too.
