I finally had the time to shoot my first revolver. I'm used on thumbs forward grip on any semi auto so I always make sure to duck my left thumb over my right thumb. Shooting 38 specials were like 22 loads on a 6 inch barrel. So soft shooting! The .357 load had some kick to it and it was fun! But I don't think I could shoot 357 all day. I hear the party from the next stall kept saying daym every time I shoot the 357 loads.
The red ramp on the S&W is clear. I use POA/POI like my 1911s. I guess it is shooting a little bit high? The rear is adjustable but did not touch it. I might play with it on the next range trip.
Now I'm debating if I want another 357 revolver or a 44 magnum. Thinking about the 686 + Pro series or the competitor. If I get the 44 mag, I might not shoot it as much due to expensive ammo (I don't reload) or I'll just get it so I could have a 44 mag on my collection. Decisions...
Ammo used: 50 rounds Armscor 158 grain 38 special
50 rounds WWB 130 grain 38 special
100 rounds PMC 158 grain .357 magnum
