Free State Problems: Help me pick a Handgun

So I've been saving my Cabela's points for a while and am going tomorrow to purchase a new pistol. Looking for a full size 9mm that I will use for self defense, general shooting, IPSC, IDPA, etc. I have it fairly narrowed down, but I will consider other options as well.

    CZ 75 SP-01
    Glock 17 Gen4
    Glock 34 Gen4

    I'm not considering the following:
M&P9 (Have one and am going to get rid on it after this purchase)
VP9 (Didn't like it when I shot it)
FNS-9 (Didn't like the frame in my small hands)

Anything else I should consider in the <$700 price range?

Did you hold each? I thought my Glock 17 Gen 4 without any of the straps felt larger than the FNS-9 with its flat back strap.

I vote G34. I'm generally not a Glock fan boy but I do own a couple including a G35 which is my HD gun. I think Glock really did a nice job on that "practical / tactical" 34/35 series of theirs. The longer sight radius and better trigger make it one of the few Glocks that I can shoot well. I have a 9mm conversion barrel for it also which essentially turns it into a G34. It's not bad to shoot in .40 but in 9mm it's downright pleasant.

The only one mentioned that I didn't shoot was the G34 (LGS didn't have a rental available).

It wasn't so much that the FNS-9 felt larger, but I felt like if my hands were bigger they would have been positioned better. I couldn't get comfortable shooting it.

G34, either 3 or 4 gen will be good.

I love my cz's but just tried a glock 34 yesterday at the range and wow very nice. BUT I can't go a day without what I voted for BACON. They are all winners to me, you can't go wrong with any of the pistols you're considering.

I dont really like the Gen4 G17, but i love my Gen3... guess thats a weirdness.
If your going duty sized pistols-
                      HK P30
                      XDM
Steyr L9-A1, literally the best ergonomics ever

I absolutely love my M&P VTAC, but I hated it with a literal passion until I had the Apex trigger put in, that changed everything, now it is literally amongst my favorite pistols.

Fear is the spare change that will keep you broke

Call him run-like-hell-when-shtf-guy or dial-911-guy but NEVER call an unarmed man "Security".

Hmm, another CZ vs Glock or other poll, hahaha.

                        Check out a Tanfoglio variation.
Are the Kahr Gen2 (w/ improved trigger) out yet?

Just for fun Cabela's does have sell the Scorpion EVO 9mm.

Looking at your experience with the M&P and the VP9 the Glock 17 Gen4 isn't going to be that much different.

I'd go with the Glock 34 Gen 4 after considering what you've already used and what you want to use the new gun for. If you could get your hands on one before purchasing it all the better.

                            I hate you.

G34 although the CZ is up there. But my current favorite gun to shoot is the 34.

Buy the thing with the least number of votes.
