Well, tell me if you can somehow tune it so that the wall is around 5.5 lbs. Right now my trigger on the Colt is 5.5 while the DW is around 3.8-4, I would like the DW to be a 5.5. As much as I want a flat trigger, it seems 10-8 is the only one selling them atm, unless I went with Sig. As much as I like shooting my friend's Scorp, I don't know what mods I need to do on a proprietary part to fit a regular 1911.

10-8 Flat Trigger Installed!

Installing a new trigger shoe will not affect pull weight -- it will affect trigger reset and feel, and in some cases pull length.
Pull weight is determined by several other factors and multiple parts working in concert.Last edited by 82lightfighter; 08-05-2015, 12:33 PM.Comment

From what I gathered it has a lot to do with the angle of the trigger shoe, sear leaf spring and the hammer/sear assembly. Easiest adjustment would be to bend the left spring forward, but I really don't want to mess with that myself. I might send it to DW later once they open up custom work again.Comment

If you want to increase the weight, try a heavier mainspring. From what I gathered it has a lot to do with the angle of the trigger shoe, sear leaf spring and the hammer/sear assembly. It's all about SV Infinity triggers with the interchangeable facesComment

Greider, Harrison, Wilson and George at EGW all make flat triggers of varying lengths. Though I think George's is more of a blank you need to fit.
Which brings me to my point: you can flatten a curved trigger and you might be surprised how good a smooth, non serrated trigger feels! Birchwood-Casey makes Aluminum-Black when you're done."Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy."

I actually filed the shoe face down for a shorter LOP. I beveled both edges to remove the sharpness and polished it. The flat trigger is supposed to give a consistent pull no matter where the pad of your finger lands. Along with the Cylinder & Slide 3.5# matched blued hammer and sear kit I replaced the FCG with it gives me a perfect trigger pull and break.Comment

Might be worth trying in my next flat trigger, I'm not eyeing my Custom II and Loaded thinking maybe one of them could do with a flat trigger too... I'm loath to touch this one any more because I like the feel so much right now.I actually filed the shoe face down for a shorter LOP. I beveled both edges to remove the sharpness and polished it.
