Thanks sealocan, I was kind of thinking 1800, I know there's a big frenzy right meow, but realistically that's about where I pictured it. I was going to start a thread, but this one popped up so I thought I'd jump on it. Like I said not going to sell but still like to know what the guns in my safe are worth.

^ I understand completely, I've done my share of thread jacking, way back when as well.

I just I'm always trying to get people to start new threads on just about anything.

keep in mind I am definitely not a Colt expert and I thought by meow some Colt Python guru would be giving you an exact estimate down to the penny and then even made a reasonable offer by pm.

I sold one just like that at auction a few months ago and it went for $2400. I was happy as a clam. I don't really like Pythons.

Westcoast32, is that possible lol, honestly before the python blitz, I probably never would have been interested in a revolver.

Gotcha, if yours is the only input I get, I just might do it.

Honestly, if I'm going to drop a couple of k to have a chunk of metal locked in my safe, I'll buy gold. If I'm looking to buy a shooting 357 I'd buy a pre lawyer smith 686.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Just about anybody on this site will pay 1,500 for a Python.

Well... the problem with your position is that the Python has performed MUCH better as an investment versus gold...

With the price per ounce of Gold your probably better off with the Python..I have a 686-3 with an 8 inch barrel, its a fine gun.Its a long one and reaches out across a football field to beat the band.........Peter

When I saw the first post I was thinking 1500 would be half price for that gun as advertised in California.

                            Good luck op.

Then it's just a matter of steering interest in the auction by posting such a ludicrous inquiry here... and now everyone in this thread is paying attention to that auction, and the price will jack ( that is - IF it can be PPT'ed in CA).

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Your could be right but whose to tell if your right about what you say. If you look at that link the gal Carol Watsons Orange Coast Auctions has six pythons and they are all PPT available. One thing is most likely as you said and that is the prices will jack and number 2 folks are paying attention to the thread not only by the ludicrous inquiry as you stated but also by barkers like you and me that fuel the fire also. It will be interesting to see where or if this thread goes too, but right now its looking like a dime store Novel..... .........Peter
