M@P Shield 9mm mods???

I picked up an M@P calif version shield at the Sportsmans warehouse sale for 379 and its in 10 day jail. My question is what mods am i going to want to do to this? Mag drop mod? I don't really mind the loaded flag. Any links would be appreciated too.

Remove the mag disconnect.

There is also info on thumb safety removal but you'll be left with an awkward cavity.

Honestly, just go shoot it. Get familiar and comfortable with it before you mess with it. Well, maybe sights and grip tape of some kind.

You should check with your issuing agency if you plan to CC it. Some have restrictions on mods you can make.

If you do a bunch of mods to a new gun, then take it to the range and it doesn't work, you won't know if the gun is messed up or if you messed it up.

Go shoot 5-600 rnds then decide IF there's something you feel needs changing.

I absolutely hated mine when it was new, trigger was terrible! After about 600 rounds, and watching tv dry firing it at all the bad guys on tv, it's like a different gun. I like it now. Just shoot it and see how you like it before messing with it

Only thing I've done with mine so far was installing some Talon grip tape on it.

thanks guys, the only thing that is annoying to me is the mag disconnect, all the rest really doesn't matter. I even kinda like the orange flag for personal protection if i get awoken up in the middle of the night, i have a reference if there's one in the chamber. I just dont like being told i have to have one, would rather it be a option IF i wanted one...

I plan on a lot of things, but reality is it will probably sit in my safe, lol
I have purchased many ccw guns and ALWAYS go back to the one i know i will carry and it wont be a problem hiding it and i will never know its there until i need it. So it will probably be another range gun, mag disconnect mod shouldn't effect anything. 22mag self defense ammo is getting 13" of penetration these days, i know the bullet is small but its what i WILL carry.
