P2000 SA/DA .40 SW is awesome to shoot...i love it. MP45 i have one w/o safety, and it took awhile for me to get used to it, but she's a great shooter...accurate (although, it took me a while to get used to her...heavy trigger, and newb).
I've tried a G21C...recoil's very soft...even softer than the MP45...i was able to shoot it much more accurate than my MP45...but i don't like the grip as much
HK45 /c are awesome lookin' handguns...but never shot one, so i can't say...although i want one of each reeeeaaaaalll baaad.
get what u like and what u want. i have small/medium hands, skinny fingers (7.5 inches from thumb to pinky), Glock21 grip was a lil big...but it's a good grip too for my lil hands. at 1st i kinda regreted the MP45...but now, i can't part with her...ahahaha.
My next purchase will prbably be a P2000 or G19Comment

If it fits your hand well, and you can afford it, nothing compares to the USP.
Edit: In terms of polymer .45s that is..

The Glock feels godawfull in my hand as well, and my .02 is on the XD. I have not had the opportunity to try an M&P in .45, and generally prefer a full-size over compact, so my opinion may be useless to you.
This I will say: do NOT get a gun that you can't hold/shoot comfortably based on rave reviews and peer pressure. It will make you enjoy shooting less altogether, so you won't go to the range as often and you won't be as prepared if (god forbid) you ever have to use the gun as intended by the designer. He was a demon. HK VP70 was the first plastic pistol.
For me, the Glocks point high.
For me, the HK USPs point low.
XD comes from Europe.
S&W M&P points like a 1911 and is US made. They now have one with a thumb safety that works like a 1911.
I would just get another 1911. Maybe a Para double stack (10+1) if you want more capacity. In a couple years, you should be able to buy full-cap mags for it (12, 13 or 14+1, depending on model).

HK had the first plastic pistol not glock.
I've shot the 2x4 of pistols that costs a ton to fix HK, the way too tall send it back if it breaks XD, the gun with the most parts available G21 and the new kid on the block the M&P.
I like the Glock because I'm old and have fat mags for it. If I didn't I'd buy an M&P hands down it shoots better for me.Last edited by randy; 11-26-2008, 8:10 PM.I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

Well I own two, both rock islands a officer and a basic 5". Both have tritium sights and updated triggers.... they both shoot well. I think I just talked myself out of it.... LOL...Sure I work on Guns ; 105, 120 and 155mm. There was that 20" though.Comment

Glock, M&P, XD
That's a HARD choice! No matter which you choose you won't be loosing out on anything. Just hold all three and go off of grip feel, one handed and two. Keep in mind though that Shot Show is just around the corner. Buying a pistol now kinda feels like buying a Mac right before MacWorld, but I'm such a hypocrite because a G19 is on my christmas list :-)Comment

If you are the type to take your gun apart and fix it yourself, the glock and the M&P are the only way to go. You can buy a dvd and parts and fix it without voiding your warrenty . Try orderng part for H&C ask you ocal range gunsmith these type of questions.Rancho Punetas CaliforniaComment
