The Competition rear sight offers a longer sight radius but there is no ledge.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. Yes it is an expensive beast. And it is a beast. I've beat on sights for adjustment or installment and there is always the worry of buggering up the works. This tool alleviates that worry. If you have only one line of guns to work on this is not the answer. It's also not perfect in that it pushes on the sight above the frame rather than getting to the base of the sight in the dovetail. But given the "universal" nature the design and function of this tool is quite good. I do not regret purchasing it.Send Lawyers, Guns and Money - On second thought, hold the Lawyers.Comment

Hey guys I'd like to get sights on my p01 as well. Everyone here in san jose is charging $100 plus the cost fof sights. Me being curious I YouTubed it and the front was done in minutes. Any recommendations? Don't like the idea of swnding my new tool out to get the sights done. I'm not a gunsmith or have little experienceComment

Ask around nicely and I am sure there will be some local CalGunners that are willing to help you with the sight replacement once you get the sights. What exactly do you want done?
I don't have a sight pusher nor am I a gunsmith but I know a guy or two

I'd like to install the night sights. But I was thinking if jus blacking out the rears and going FO in the front. My only concern is how will the FO sights look in the night time when I have a light mounted on my p01. Would it be enough light to see the FO?Comment

No will be hard to see them at night.Comment

When you turn on a light to view the target, your sights be they night, fiber or whatever generally will just be seen by their outline. The glow of tritium sights will be washed out. Where night sights shine (pardon the pun) is where the light is dim but you're still able to identify the target, and the tritium dots then will stand out, not as much as in a very dark environment.
The fiber sights need some ambient light from above to "glow" so Tater313 is correct, a fiber sight will be hard to see at night.
You don't need a pusher but it does make it easier. Get on youtube and search for Dave Dawson of Dawson precision using a hammer and aluminum punch doing sight installs.
The CZ front sight will need to be done with a hammer/punch since it's dovetail runs front to back rather than side to side. You need the correct size punch and possibly a replacement roll pin for the front sight work and depending on the sight you get for replacement, you may need to run a drill bit through the roll pin hole to put in a relief cut on the underside of the front sight before installing the roll pin. The fiber sight I got from Dawson has the relief cut, the Hi-Viz sight did not. Not a big deal.Send Lawyers, Guns and Money - On second thought, hold the Lawyers.Comment

I don't know if that sight has the relief cut. Not a big deal if it doesn't. You take a #47 drill bit in a hand drill and from the left side of the slide (left side as you would normally hold the pistol) and with the new front sight fully seated you drill through the existing hole putting the relief cut under the new sight. You drill from the left side of the slide so the clockwise motion of the bit pulls the front sight tightly into the dovetail. If you drill from the other side, it could back the sight out.
You can get the bit, roll pins and roll pin punch from czcustom.com although it appears as of now (6/1/16) they are out of the punch (2mm).

Put some masking tape on the slide to prevent damage with the drill.
You'll need some fine sandpaper (600 grit or finer) or arkansas stone to dress the new sight(s) so they can go in at least halfway before you start applying a mallet/punch or a sight pusher (rear sight, no pusher designed for that front sight).Send Lawyers, Guns and Money - On second thought, hold the Lawyers.Comment

Without a sight pusher or the right tools or skills, you don't want to try and end up with something like this:
