That's not an idiot scratch, that's an I used a bronze brush scratch.
Leave it.
If you must tell people you fended off 9 attackers weilding machetes, the first 8 you shot and the 9th you smacked with your Kimber thus the scratch.Last edited by Ant45; 07-08-2015, 7:55 PM. -
before you do anything.. check out my idiot scratch fix first... very easy to do.. assuming ur Kimber is stainless. So like an idiot, I had used one of those copper/bronze bore cleaner brushes to clean the rails on my Kimber's frame to brush out gunk and debris. Well, now it looks like I have bronze scratches on the frame that I can't get rid of, I'm thinking it permanently scratched the finish on the frame, is there a way of fixing this? Or should I just get the pistol parkerized? The gun was purchased used with some wear and scratches already.
Thanks!

If it is stainless, a Birchwood Casey Lead Remover and polishing cloth *might* remove it without making it worse. See: https://www.birchwoodcasey.com/Clean...oth-6-x-9.aspx If it is blued or has some other finish, this polishing cloth may take the finish off.
Or maybe you can send the scratched part back to Kimber to be re-finished.
