Love my SP2022! Heck, I even threw a few dollars at it to give it that personal touch

Did that machining reduce the weight substantially or only marginally? I have to agree on the look, it's very nice looking.

I have one in .40, great gun, no issues regardless of what I feed it, HPs, FPs, plated, jacketed, hardcast , whatever.

You just can't go wrong getting one, Sig is a great pistol and the SP2022 is a solidly built gun for the money.

I'm not familiar with this Sig, how is it different than the 226 or 220 models for example?

They trigger isn't hard/heavy. It's just has a ridiculously long pull. Hated it. Sold both that I owned.

In DA, sure, but the SA pull is just fine for a gun in this price range. Never had a problem with the trigger on mine.

If you got the .40, yo can buy a drop in barrel in .357 sig, use the same mags and have a 2 caliber gun.

Additionally, the 2022 should come with different backstraps. Try them out and see which one feels the best, but more importantly use the one that allows you to shoot the best.

As for the SA trigger pull, yes, it is long but it's nothing compared to some others that I've shot. The ruger LC9 comes to mind. That thing has a pull that starts in Wisconsin and ends in Hawaii.

I had one with night sights and couldn't stand them, great for home defense but horrible at the range

My first was the 9mm, I like the SP2022 so much that I went out and bought the 40 s&w too. Shot over 1000 rounds in 9mm and no problems at all.

Have one in 9 mm, love it. Got mine with night sights. No issues except for training your hands to stay off the slide stop.

I have one in 9m.m. and after at least 1000 rds never one issue with it, and just a fun gun to shoot.

Mine arrived at the FFL today, guna start the DROS tomorrow (and bring home the SCAR). Kinda curious if it will have a LCI??? The one I looked at locally didn’t but it had a big scratch so I ordered one from riflegear not knowing some have a LCI and some don’t. Guess it’s not a big deal to me either way but it will be a surprise tomorrow.

Are there any reliability issues using .40 mags in a 9mm?? I didn’t know you could do that.

Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Had mine all of about 2 months. .40 cal. Had a certified range officer confirm the sights were way off. Sent it back to Sig and they made some adjustments. Little better but sold it at a gun show a week later. Too bad cause loved the da/sa no loaded chamber indicator and night sights. Wanted so much to keep that one but needed more accuracy.

Well I started the DROS today. Gota say I’m happy with what I got. No LCI,2 mags, case, holster, extra grip, and a stupid little lock. Obviously I haven’t shot it yet but this seems like a good value purchase for like $420.
