Somebody changed your post...replaced "glocks" with "sig sauers". And while I agree with you more than them it spoils my reply. Which is...

My 1911 is a Sig Sauer.

They do make a really nice 1911. Who woulda thunk it?

As to why I agree with you more? It likely has more to do with the two decades I spent mastering my Glocks. If my life is on the line I'd feel a lot more comfortable with a Glock. I'm getting more and more proficient with my 1911, but not two decades worth.

This was my path into 1911's after shooting Glocks for about 17 years. Stainless Loaded, Range Officer Compact, TRP, full rail TRP, DW Specialist, EMP, 9mm Range Officer, Professional. Currently have 4 of the above left that I really like, the others were sold for various reasons. My go to gun and carry pistol is still my G26 because it is what I am most comfortable with.

No gun is without issues, and while 1911's may take a little more attention to keep running smooth, for me nothing compares to the feel of shooting them. I'm hooked and have no regrets about what I've sold in order to get what I have now.
      **** your feelings!

        Save for the 1911.

Keep the Glocks and save up for the 1911. I was recently going back and forth of which railed 1911 I wanted and settled on the MC Operator. I appreciate the traditional barrel and bushing, and have a choice of what style front strap checkering I will eventually want with all the other benefits of owning a Springfield Armory 1911. The fit and finish is very good, along with a smooth slide action and nice trigger all at a very good price.
