Should I sell some glocks to get a trp operator

I don't have any 1911's but do have some glocks. I've been eyeing the Springfield trp operator but don't really have the cash on hand to buy one straight out. I'd be selling a glock 22, glock 21sf, and a glock 27 to try and cover the costs. I still have a mix of other handguns besides these glocks. Would you rather have one nice 1911.

Sounds like a good reason to sell some glocks. I'd do it if I had other glocks and didn't shoot a certain variety of them.

If you sell another Glock you could get a semi custom 1911

keep everything and just save up and buy a 1911.
no such thing as to many firearms.

I sold my Glock 21 and Glock 23 to help pay for my full rail TRP and it was worth it. I shot 500 rounds yesterday after zeroing in at 25 yards and it was REALLY REALLY fun and ridiculously accurate. I'm very happy with my purchase. It might not be crafted and fitted like a Les Baer or Wilson Combat but it's got all the bells and whistles for a 1911.

Don't sell them, just sell the glock you least like and save up for the trp.

              More guns = good
              Less guns = bad

This I love my Full rail, but I always hate taking out things I bought to get something else. It takes discipline but save. Brand new you can find them for 1600ish.

Yes, sell all the "blocks" and buy 1911's.

I don't think he meant it was free money just to use it, as most get that tax money.

I see so many people who use it as a savings when you can just utilize throughout the year by claiming more exceptions.

If you like your Glocks, don't sell them. If you find that you're not shooting them too much, go for it. My G19 is the least favorite pistol I own and is relegated to home defense, but I feel most comfortable with the G19 for that role since my wife would be the one handling it while I handle the shotgun.

I had considered selling my G19, but after thinking about its role, I decided not to. However, if I had spare Glocks that didn't get used much, I'd go ahead and sell them to fund something else.
