Need CZ grip advice

Can't tell by the picture if the texture would be too aggressive. The reviews are good though. I may "pull the trigger" and try them out.

So it sounds like the slim aluminum grips are more for aesthetics and not so good for comfort/handling?

I have both, the frags have pretty good and not too aggressive, kind of smoothed out grip i would say. The aluminum grips are also great, that skate board tape really works at the middle of your palm and finger tips.



rubber grips definitely feel the best if you don't need a slimmer profile. the thumb rest is nice, but i would only benefit me if I'm shooting one handed, since my two hand grip doesn't use it.

I have various VZ grips on my SP01, 75B, and 75BD. They look great and feel good too but my P01 has the stock rubber grips and I actually like the feel of them a little bit better.

Generally they are used to slim down the grips for people who prefer thinner grips or have medium/small hands as well as the asset of the grip tape panels for extra grip. The CZ factory grips are too thick for allot of people. I am sure quite a few folks buy them for the looks as well. I find them quite comfortable aside from the their width. Too narrow for me. I prefer the DAA Thick Aluminum grips over the CZC style thin aluminum.

As has been mentioned above, the factory plastic and rubber grips are hard to beat when it comes to ergonomics.

VZ's are quite popular, if they were thicker i would likely own a pair. There are quite a few good looking options i have considered picking up in the past.

Hogue has a few good looking options made of G10 as well. These are my favorite. I have been oogling CAGLS (forum member) set for a while. If only they were thicker.

Nill grips are among the few available after market options than mimic the factory profile. I prefer Nill grips to most of the other options. The down side with the Nills are their cost. They can also be a bit fragile compared to most of the other options. They serve me very well for range shooting, but for carry or run and gun i would likely go for something tougher.

The rubber Hogue grips with the finger grooves are somewhat like the factory grips as well. While they are not my cup of tea, allot of folks love them.

When I had a 97B I got the thin aluminums, on my CZ75BD I have VZs

I bought the thin Aluminum grips, because I liked the looks, on my SP01 they were to small for my grip but on the TS they worked great. I like the stock size grips they feel natural in my hands. I ended up putting the aluminum grips on my sons 75 B.

I used to love the stock rubber grips but lately I have been rolling with the thin aluminum gips slathered with grip tape. I am also giving the 5 LPI VZ diamond grips a whirl. I am still unsure which ones I prefer.
