Cat scratch fever

Alright.. not something I post often.. but really getting a tickle out of a Beretta tomcat .32 ACP I bought recently.

I shoot (instructor) almost every weekend and basically you name it and I most likely shot it once.

Never been all giddy about any one gun, some are more fun than others and honestly the price doesn't really seem to make that much difference.

But... i stumbled across a tomcat for sale from another calguner and snapped it up. Gave a bobcat to my sister years ago and always wanted one in this family.

So being careful about the rounds I fire to avoid frame issues, I have shot this little gun about 100 rounds so far and it is a hoot.

Before you flame me, I am sure there are better things out there, I am sure there is a more practical gun, yes I am aware of the frame crack issues with the tomcat, and no none of that matters, I am still having fun with this mousegun.

Finally this post has no practical value but to gloat.. but I thought I would post it anyway.. lesson learned, find something you like to shoot and be damned with the haters.. the best gun is the one you shoot.

^^^I got the same feeling when I bought a Bersa Thunder in .380 ACP several years ago.

I love shooting the Bersa. Too me, it is more fun than a .22. It feels good in my hand, has very little recoil, and hits right where I point it. Everyone that has ever shot it wants one of their own.

My dad got the same Beretta a few months ago. He paid an arm and a leg for it because he missed the .25 ACP Beretta he gave to my sister .That flip up barrel on what is essentially a mini-92F is pretty cool!

They are cool guns. After my roommate in college shot my collection of Beretta guns, he wanted one and then only thing available was a Tomcat. At Tri-City sports, nonetheless. What every happened to that place. Used to be a great gun store (just like SF Gun Exchange in the South of Market district). I digress.

Edit - my brain is getting old. I was thinking about the Cougar. I try to block these things out nowadays....

Tomcat is a lot better than the Jetfire I had. They seem similiar, but Jetfire had a SA action and a safety that (as a lefty), I could't fire without certainty that I had not kicked the safety on.

Enjoy. I had to part with mine. But I Wanted it to work..

i've always missed the Beretta 950BS .25 ACP that i sold many years ago, and at some point in time i'll replace it.
