It is a wonderful project, the end result should be a great pistol.
Since it seems all the CZ GURU's are here and since I do not own a CZ 97B,
is the 97B the same size in the grip area as the CZ TS as far as the girth???
        thanks in advance.

The 97B's grip area is slightly smaller all around than the TS. The over all feel of either pistol is going to depend on the grips installed to some degree.

Stock TS grip measurements (stock wood grips installed, measurements taken level with the slide at the grips screw):
          Depth - 2.310, Width 1.350

          CZ97BD
Depth - 2.280, (Rubber grips) Width 1.270, (Aluminum thin grips) Width 1.132

This is the Dilemma I am having at the moment. Kneelingatlas isn't making my decision much easier.

I had to ditch the stock sights since the point of impact was way too low. The 5.5mm sight and the TS adjustable LPA sight is worlds better. I will probably go with a thinner Dawson Front sight down the road since the rear sight notch is 1.100 wide.

I am also trying to decide which grips/magwell situation I want to run.

I have been trying to do research on who can/will do front and back strap checkering. If anything, I would like to duplicate the raised Tanfoglio Stock 3 checkering.

Thank you TOK36 for the grip info, so without the grips the frames are not identical in dimension at the grips area correct??

Very nice. I have one of these builds from the custom shop as my 3 Gun pistol, very accurate and moves fast!

Correct, the two frames are designed differently. Both styled like CZ's but different.

Now back to that sexy long slide.

Just got it back today and installed the Shadow orange grips and mag with orange base pad. I still have to get the low wide hammer, extended mag release, extended slide stop, CZ UB SA trigger, and black CZUB magwell. As for the Orange short grips for the mag well I may have to buy the silver unfinished ones and have them anodized burnt orange. CZ Customs cnc milled the slide and fitted it to the SA frame, installed th f/o front sight and adjustable LPA rear sight. The slide came with steel half length guide rod installed. Due to the mod budget, I opted to not checker the front or rear strap. I still may get the Checkmate comp and barrel at a later date.

I just purchsed a TS myself and I have a quick question. What is the benefit for cutting out the dust cover on the frame? I thought the extra weight was suppose to help with stability from muzzle rise.

Another awesome build! Makes me want to get a long slide to mate with my SA frame too..

The CZ SA frame comes with the short dust cover, it is not the TS frame. You could cut the dust cover on the TS frame.
Since the geometry of the CZ slide to frame already mitigates muzzle flip, the shorter dust cover lightens up the front end and is supposed to give you faster follow up shots although there is the added muzzle weight of the long slide.

Do it. You'll have to send your frame in to do the fitting.

What are you gaining out of this build vs buying a stock TS? Is it the lighter muzzle end and slimmer grips compared to TS?

                              Just curious.

                              thanks

It is lighter at the muzzle end and overall, shorter and thinner grips, CZ75 magazine compatibility, CZ75 Holster compatibility, Double action trigger capability, CZ75 grip compatibility, you can use it for IDPA ESP and USPSA Production with the proper mods etc.
