Another CTS-LS project just got back from CZC

Just got my 75B SA out of jail and shipped it to CZC. From there they will narrow the lower half of the muzzle end of the slide via CNC program to clear the 75B SA frame. For now I opted for the fixed sights. TS slides already come milled with the LPA dovetail so I will install a Kensight LPA sight which comes on the CTS and the Shadow Targets. Front sight will be a 1mm fiber optic sight. I'll do the trigger job with a short reset, CGW T1 disco, install a low wide comp hammer and Shadowline 85C trigger (blued newer 85C trigger). The low wide fills the gap on the slide and gives it more mass to ensure better ignition of the primer. I will get the CZUB magwell for it.

Just to give you an idea how the TS slide will look with the short dust cover:

Very nice CAGLS! I was thinking of doing the exact same thing - get a 75B SA and build a CTS-LS off of the frame. Where did you get the TS slide? CZC is still showing out of stock (unless you got one from a few months before)

I just called CZC directly and asked Stuart.

Nice! I look forward to seeing the finished project. I will be working on something similar once i track down a 75 SA for its frame. I acquired the TS slide a few months ago.

A heads up on the shadowline trigger. I picked one up a while ago out of curiously. While the picture for the shadowline trigger on CZ-USA's website made it look like it was black, when it arrived it was close to the same color as a standard silver CZ trigger. Its also has a slightly different profile than an 85c trigger. The radius looks to be a bit shallower than an 85c.

Hopefully they come in different finishes and yours will be darker.

Here is a comparison pic. It appears to be a bit darker in this pic too, but once installed i could not really tell the difference.

I do like the profile. The profile looks like the old 85C trigger just thinner. I can't tell in the pic if it has the overtravel set screw.

I can confirm that the shadowline trigger dose have the over-travel set screw, i had it uninstalled for some reason when i took the picture. It is much like the new 85c but there is a subtle difference towards the top of the face of the trigger. I have it installed in my 85 Combat and while it dose look a little different installed i do not notice it much while shooting.

What is the lead time over at CZC looking like these days CAGLS? Are you going to have to widen the hammer notch in the frame for the Low Wide Hammer your installing? Also what finish are you going for once the frame is milled out?

Probably about 4-6 wks depending on their work load. No need to all CZ frames, shadow, and TS slides accept the wider hammer notch. The TS slides are blued but may blue the frame at a later date.

I was going to get the Accubushing installed in this slide but had the idea to get a Checkmate threaded barrel fitted to add the Checkmate comp. What do you guys think. Maybe also some custom checkering on the front and back strap.

Ahh, that's right, its only the upper part of the hammer that is wider. An all blued longslide would be fantastic. Since they are working on the frame anyway i would go for the checkering, i had not though about this option until you mentioned it. Heh, the comp would make the slide even longer, so yes!
