    XDS 9mm

Anyone else having problelms with target shots being lower and left with their Xds? I have seen two reviews where it was stated a necessary adjustment in sighting was needed to correct this. My shot groups are relatively tight but tend towards lower left. I have focused on trigger finger placement and pull, but still cant seem to zero in to my expectations. Any feedback?

Springfield messed up with the XDS. There are good ones and bad ones, yes it's your sights. You didn't get lucky and got a bad one. I'm sure you can fix it but it's the gun. Springfield even admitted this issue and said it's a characteristic of the gun. I had two XDS 45s, one was dead nuts on and one shot low and left. I sold the bad one and kept the good one.

Do you have any more info on Springfield admitting their blunder?

My 3.3 is on the money although considering Trijicon HD's vs. the fiber optic.

Unfortunately I do not, I was one of about 5 people I know to get the XDS. I myself got two 45s, a black and a two tone. One of my guns and two of the other guys' guns had the issue of shooting low or low and left. We called springfield and they told all three of us that they were aware of the issue and that there would be no recall for it. They told us it was considered a characteristic of the gun. The person on the phone basically implied that it's a small gun for close range and it was good enough for that range.

So maybe I should consider the trijicon hd and have a gunsmith install it?

WOuldn't adjusting your sights fix that "feature" of the XDS?

Shooting low, get a shorter front sight.

Shooting left, drift the rear sight to the right.

If you're in OC you can shoot mine, which I know is right on. I don't know how much it would tell you as it's a 45 but you could try it if you'd like.

Yes changing your sights would fix it, but you want to make sure it's the sights and not you first.

If you do change the sights, send it to the XDman. He has done 2 guns for me.

I don't remember exactly how my XDS 9 shoots, but if it didn't shoot close to point of aim, I would have remembered.

Shooting low left is extremely common for a right handed shooter, especially with a small gun. What were the results when you bench rested it?

I'm having the same issue but since this will be my ccw I'm going to replace the sights anyways and go with some night sigjts, maybe some trueglo or trijicon
