Black rear sights

Yeah just something temporary. I thought of those or the ameriglo i-dots. I shoot in sunlight at an outdoor range so which would be better at 25 yards max?

We do 99.99% of our shooting in the daylight/light, but for some reason I see a lot of guys using 3 dot night sights which don't aid in fast sight acquisition like a front fiber/bead does paired with a black rear.

^^^ +1. the 3 dot sight system is distractive to me and impedes my effort to obtain fast front sight acquisition.

I run black rear / front dot sights and their fast for me. I also like 2 dot sights for night sights.

I use Wilson/Vickers sights.

Tritium front and blacked out rears.

In pitch darkness I have no trouble lining up my sights. If you don't see the tritium glow you're either too low up front or favoring left and right and obscuring the tritium with the rear sight.

Do you guys prefer a .115 wide front sight or a .125 when used with a .150" wide rear sight?

Express Big Dots aren't very good sights. They don't do anything better than Trijicon HDs or Ameriglo Hacks or iDot Pros. Since you can't use the traditional equal height, equal light sight picture, they're not as accurate at distance, or on smaller targets.

I would rather run with no sights than use the Express Big Dot sights ...

I don't see ones for glock listed on the TTI website anymore just replacement fiber rods and rear screw.

The ones I was referring to was Sevigny carry or competition.

I'm sure I want the fiber front and black rear just not sure which ones.

I noticed that as well. Dawson sells a Perfect impact sight set in several styles.

Ameriglo Hacks or i-Dot Pro setups are great, imho... I just wish they were an option on all my guns.

No this Ameriglo Hacks are great red circle during the day great glow at night.

For point shooting (7 yards or closer) it's OK. However, any kind aimed fire with a pistol needs IMO some type of rear sighting reference to align the gun. Because of a pistols short sight radius misalignment can easily result in off target shots.

the sighting reference is the outline of the sights against the target background, dots are in fact less precise. Dots are there because they got popular at some point and have become somewhat the status quo, but they dont make the sight picture more accurate. faster? maybe, depending on other factors.

think about it, do rifle sights need dots to line up accurately? and rifle sights are good for long range

I like a front dot and black rear on carry and target pistols. I find it easier to focus on one dot. That's just me.

This is what a .115 front looks like with a .150 rear. For me, it's the perfect balance of speed & precision.

Been back and forth between trijicon HDs which then I can't decide between neon yellow or bright orange. Or go with vickers battle sights with the red fiber optic. It would be for a g30sf. I worry the fiber optic wouldn't be a long term reliable. Then again tritium lasts only so long.
