Just a note, i have a first edition 226 from the late 80's, along with 3 other fairly new sigs. I had a warranty issue with one of them, and talking to the customer service guy, i brought up warranty issues for my 20yr old sig, he said that even though its not expressley written, Sigs have a lifetime warranty against manufacture defects so long as the gun doesnt show abuse. So when your are contimplating a CPO model, remember, even if something does go wrong with it, more than likely Sig will repair it under warranty.

I JUST picked up a CPO P228 from Ordnance Outseller, I got the tracking number in my email this morning when I got up.

Its a bit of a funny story, I was looking for a P228 about 6-8 months ago so I put my name on OO's waiting list and more or less forgot about it. I ended up buying one from one of our board members in a face to face transaction and have put about 800-1000 rds down it and love the gun. Last week Jerry from OO sent me an email giving me the option of any of the 6 CPO P228's he just got in. I'm pretty sure they were all spoken for though by people on the wait list.

But i figured at $500 per for a Grade 1 gun which he rated "excellent" I'd be more then happy to have two

I'll give a review of the gun when I go check it out at my dealer this weekend or early next week.

Congrats on the pickup, I caved in myself and got the VERY last one from Jerry at OO. I can't wait to get it in my hands, for $500, its a steal.

My "ready" gun is an early 90's all German P226 (9mm) two-tone with factory night sights that I bought off a cop that was changing over to a Glock duty weapon. It has a little holster wear to the frame and I had to replace the bashed up grips but it works 100% with everything I have fired through it. As a dealer with a "High Capacity Magazine License" I was able to keep all 5 full capacity LEO marked mags that he had with it. I would not hesitate to buy a used Sig.
