+1x9999 on OC indoor. I live in south LA and I drive all the way to Brea for it. It is smaller range but less yahoo go over there, and their clerks are great. I even deal most of my guns through Mark. Decent price, decent fee. He will never tell you things like "you don't want that gun, this is what you want... it only cost few hundred more...".
Join their membership, 30 buck get you anytime unlimited range time. I got myself a annually membership .
Taiwan born, Chinese descent, red white and freaking blue America citizen.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

        +1 For Insight In Artesia

+1 For OC Range In Brea

No Comment about La Puente Range. Never been there.

+1 Triple B Clays, just don't leave your shotgun laying around unattended. Thievery runs rampant at this range. Its open to public (non-shooters) and the employees (even the supervisors) are shady. The only workers I would trust are the owners and Patrick. If you like shotgun-talk, get to know Bill. He is an older fellow that frequents that range. Shoots Winchester Model 42 most of the time.

You may also want to check out this range...

I've never been there and I don't know anyone who has...for all I know its closed or doesn't exist...but since its still listed on the cities site it must be real...

I like insight since they don't charge by the hour. Easy to get to also, just go 605 south to the 91.

Rampant? How rampant? I go to triple-b on a very regular basis and haven't ever even heard of anything being stolen there, let alone seen it myself.

...OK...I may have exaggerated, considering that I haven't been there as much as I used to...its been...two years since I was there on a CONSTANT [winkwink] basis.

I can tell you that on one occasion there was a firearms theft committed. I won't go into further detail, but he got his. And the victim got the firearm back. Thats why I used "Rampant". The individual that committed the theft was very brazen...therefore "Rampant" seemed appropriate, considering all the things that may have been stolen and never spoken of...

I heard of other "little" things disappearing...boxes of ammo and such (people would leave laying around).

But again, its been two years since I was there on a CONSTANT [winkwink] basis. Now I just shoot a round or two there every once and a while. But I have a feeling there is still the same amount of laziness, drug use, and thievery among employees & non-shooters.

Like I said, considering the circumstances behind the theft...I wouldn't doubt there was a bunch more where that came from that was kept on the downlow. One thing for sure...I wouldn't leave a fancy shotgun sitting unattended at that range.

My use of vocabulary was inappropriate..."Profusely Widespread" makes it sound like it happens everyday...

Maybe once or twice a month

But like I said, that was two years ago...maybe things have changed...

I've been going to LaPuente for years. I go at night & have rarely had to deal w/ the owner -- he's okay, just a bit anal (as mentioned). I prefer going at night -- the guys that work after the owner is gone are okay.
I'm not a fan of Brea -- they don't have alot of lanes & fewer parking slots plus the lanes are really short

Insight doesn't charge by the hour though.
Charges by the hour IIRC as does Brea which causes me to go elsewhere.

Thievery at Triple B, interesting. I want to try the night shooting there.

At brea its listed as an hourly rate but no one watches the clock unless you start screwing around.
