OT: Indoor Range near or at Whittier, CA

I'm going there this december (13th), if I get the chance I might (wife willing) go to the range. So I'm wondering what's the nearest range in the area.

    thanks!

      Insight Shooting Range

      Its a good place...

You can rent unlimted handguns for a one time fee of 10 bucks, but you have to buy there ammo if you rent. Lots of lanes, and they dont charge by the hour last I was there.

I agree. I go to OC Indoor all the time. I never bothered going to LPFR. I asked him if they had any Off-List Lowers for sale, they didn't even know what that was.

La Puente is a good range, unless you bring something evil looking. All OLL stuff is personally banned by the owner. Stuff that you would think is legal is also in question. I'm not able to shoot my .22lr GSG-5 or Ruger PC9 9mm carbine there. Stick with Insight or OC indoor range. Insight doesn't charge by the hour though.

I'm in whittier (close to the OC LA border) and I have to say the OC indoor range is pretty decent. Never crowded and rarely air conditioned LOL.

On Berry between Lambert & Central in Brea - in a business park so you have to look hard but the store front does face Berry.

Also, don't forget triple-b clays. They're open nights. Not exactly indoors, and they're a trap/skeet range, but they are right in the Whittier Narrows.

+1 on skipping La puente. It gets expensive if u stay past an hour, and theyre pretty anal about a lot of things. Got some questionable folks that go there too. OCindoorrange was very friendly, and very accommodating. If i lived there I'd go more

I go to all three. I live ten minutes from the OC shooting range in Brea and usually go there. Range is kinda small but the shop is nice and the guys that work there are great. The LPFR is ok but they do like most have said, get a bit anal with what and how you shoot. Insight in Artesia is also a very good range to go to but I've only been there a couple times and it was a while back.
