Personally, I PPT a 1911 to with a good friend of mine (it was a pristine TRP). It came back with an idiot scratch and many more scratches on the right side of the slide and frame. Some were deep to the metal (WTF?). Bottom line the store is not responsible at all for anything happening with the gun in the 10 day wait. I felt bad because I sold a pristine gun, so I had it refinished for him on my dime (not cheap).

Here is another member chit service received: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1059667 and look at their response is.
Many other reviews online about their terrible service as well. There is no way I can not recommend a shop like that, but it's only my recommendation to stay away, but anyone can shop as they please.

Since online is an option, ocfirearms also can be ordered online via dealer stock.

+1. They had more than a dozen different revolvers when I was there last week.

My OC shop of choice is OC Firearms, surprised no one has mentioned them unless I missed it... Steve can order what you want and do the SAE work for you.

In the IE, I'm pretty sure 2A Zone can get you what you want.

Both of the aforementioned shops are 07 FFLs.

They may not have much for you to fondle though, but always good choices if you can fondle elsewhere and order through them...

Now that I think about it, Fowler's Gun Room in Orange had a good selection of revolvers the last time I was there, but their gun prices are pretty lofty.

Where are you at Tuna? Maybe you can get a few members here to show you their SA shooters.

^Brea. So I ended up going to Riflegear today and I was pleasantly surprised. They don't really keep SA revolvers on display but the gentleman at the counter was plenty willing to pull a couple out of their stockroom for me to look at. Ended up buying a 4-5/8" Blackhawk in .357 Mag with an extra 9mm Luger cylinder. I'm pleased. Now the stupid wait begins...

                      Good for you!

I'm sure the ones he pulled out to show you were dealer stock that they just don't have display spaces for, and not guns someone else ordered but not DROS'ed yet... Obviously not the Blackhawk since you got it.

Several gun shops were caught doing this with customer guns before (don't remember which specifically) and were caught after marks appearing on the guns when the customers came back to pick up the guns... You can imagine their dismay when the shops own up to it.

Anyway, glad you got what you're looking for. Riflegear is a quality outfit but I sure don't like the half-hour wait times every time I go there.

Haha no, they were definitely dealer stock. The clerk had his computer up and was showing me what he had in inventory. I've never been disappointed with Riflegear. That's baaaaaaad juju if shops are doing that to guns that other people ordered.

Elite Firearms in Laguna Niguel - most of their inventory is revolvers. They have a 2nd shop in Orange.

American Firearms or whatever they call themselves now sucks, read the links. Stockade is known for high prices. Wimpys sucks too I really doubt you would find much there. You could have tried Walker47 in Anaheim probably a better choice for your needs than a mall ninja oriented shop. Owner will be knowledgeable on what you were looking for.

Retting has a decent selection but they are 10-15% higher priced then anyone within a 60 mile radius.
