    DROS my first GLOCK

i've rented and shot a Gen3 17 & 19 in the past at the range. liked how it shot, but hated the grip being so big and didn't like the slippery surface in my hands.

wanted to try a Gen4 since grip is smaller, but off roster and no shop had one for rent.

today met up with fellow CGer and DROS my first G19 Gen4 and damn.. it felt good in my hands. can't wait to take her outta jail, clean and lube her up and put her to work!

Great gun! Congrats. Now you need the 17 and a sub 2k.

I think glock 19 is the most popular glock model out there.

            Good choice.

Easy on the lube. Glocks only need about 6 drops...

The G19 is a great handgun. Have fun..

thanks guys. since it's used, i don't think it needs to be broken in. but does look like it needs a good cleaning though.

6 drops of oil, none in the firing pin hole and your gtg. They don't require a lot of cleaning or maintenance.

thanks.. that's about the same amount of oil i use for my 1911. now just need to find a detail strip of the Gen4, cuz the gun was a service gun and doesn't seem to have too much cleaning done to it. so i'm thinking maybe i should do a detail cleaning and then shoot it. any good vids on youtube Glock gurus would suggest?

i've done a detail strip on my P01 and the sear cage on the decocker is a PITA, but learned how to do that through youtube. i guess Glock will be much easier to do compared to that. i hope.

Congratulations. No battery is complete without a Glock 19!

If you do not like the grips, try Talon Grips or Traction Grips.
