Thanks guy. I am not a clean freak in any case. If the crown suppose to have some wear after a few shots then it is what it is. I thought they only do 1 shot since they only provide 1 spent brass.

It's not wear, it's powder residue

You are right. It tried wiping it a little harder and it goes away. First pass was just touching it and it stayed.

Of course it is and of course you did.

I did acquire a Single Seven last year. That is the .327 Federal on the Single Six frame size.

It was not cheap and now it is back at Ruger to be repaired.

                Now were even.:

                  Choot it!

Great little guns. Fun to plink with and rugged.
                  Sorry, not sorry.

"...but probably cost quite a bit more than your..." I meant to say that I had to pay more but doesn't mean it has more value. Older guns often worth more in the end, I just couldn't afford them... that's what I mean. I wished I start shooting 20 years ago but 3 months ago will have to do.

That is the TALO exclusive model 0676. It looks new to me from the side photos. Unless you have detail cleaned the crown barrel and cylinder it is hard to say if it has been used. It could just be residue from machining or the factory test fire.

Where did you buy it from - maybe that will help us tell you more.

Yours is pretty fancy. Are you or did you get a fancy holster?

Tooele. From all reply, I think it just residue from factory now.

I didn't know that there is a fancy holster. I'll try to see what it look like.

congrats. i'm stuck in a time warp and like the old guns best, but you've got a beauty there.
