Got my first H&K

I've been wanting to buy an H&K and finally bought one. LGS has one without and with night sights. I picked the one with night sights and came with 3 8 round magazines. Bought also some 10 round magazines with extended plates. It is a sweet gun! Grip is better than my Glock 30. Trigger pull on double action is at 11 pounds and single action comes to 4.5-5 pounds. No range time yet. So busy but at least I have time to buy one haha!

Nice. I have the older full size USP. These are great guns and you won't be disappointed. I have some Glocks also and they are nice with their simplicity but these guns have a decocker and safety which I prefer. Have fun and post the results of your first outing!

Congrats. I pick up a used one a short while ago. Love it. I ended up changing the bobbed hammer for a spurred one.

Nice. You must have big mitts. Although I love H&K pistols, I find them just a little too big for my hands. With that Hogue it must feel even bigger.

Congratulations. That is a great gun. You will love it. CDNN and Cross Creek Guns often have good deals on HK magazines.

I really wish that California was not a communist state, so that newer HK models, like the VP9, HK45, and P30 were readily available for sale.

(Re: the Glock 30. I love the 30SF, too, and have found that Pearce grip extensions improve the grip. Both the Glock 30SF and USP .45c shoot great).

I was an HK fanatic when they first came out with the USP line. They have nice features, the only problem is it is very top heavy. Not as well balanced as a Sig.
HKPRO did a nice article on durability testing, and detailed take down. it strips like a 1911 / Beretta 92.

The dual spring is a great feature. Springco is now coming out with these dual action springs for other pistols - it beats a shock buffer. Whether it is needed is another topic for discussion.

Congrats! Check out a Factory HK Match Trigger and have Bill Springfield in Colorado install it and further tune it. He did my Full Size USP45 and it is "Magic". The trigger and reset is comparable to a fine 1911. Have heard great things about Grey Guns too. I will be sending my VP9 for some work soon.

Maybe true. But I think HK's quality control is unparalleled, and that current product SIG Sauer handguns are no match.
