Sig p220 Combat Ca model

I picked up my Sig 220 combat from my LGS in San Jose a few years back. I love it. I sent the grips off to Liquid Gun Works for a little Multicam dip. My only complaint was the lack of holsters that really fit the combat models slightly different rail size.
Oh and if you ever move outside of California the threaded barrel is easy to find.Protect your integrity like you would protect your life.Comment

Yeah, that was a pain. I found MK25 holsters worked pretty well as they have the same rail. That was a few years ago so pickings may be better now.Comment

Thanks for the info on the MK25 holsters working. I haven't been using my Sig 220 combat for training simply for lack of any tactical style holster. Now I need to look into MK25 holsters.Protect your integrity like you would protect your life.Comment

if you have a P226 Kydex holster or just go out and purchase one (I have Blackpoint which is a really awesome holster by the way) it has a tension screw by the trigger guard. Loosen it so that you can just get the P220 in and then retighten the screw down so that it won't come out. Take a heat gun and heat the kydex right by the picatinny rail only on both sides. with the tension on the handgun the kydex will reform and open up around the larger picatinny rail. Some may have to heat around the trigger retention indent as well but start with the rail side first. Loosen or adjust the tension screw to suit and you're off and running. Hope it helps. Obviously this assumes that you won't be using the holster with a 226 although it still works but you'd have to keep adjusting the tension screw depending on if you have the 220 or 226 in the holsterMESSAGE ME FOR ARMAGLOCK COUPON CODES!!!!

I've a P220 (Equinox). Compared to my 1911, my P220 has a crapload of recoil, to the point that I don't like to shoot it much. I'm not exactly recoil-sensitive, either...shot .40s without issue. I may end up selling the P220 and getting a Sig 1911 in it's place.Currently Carrying:

Just takes a lot of training to get used to that first trigger pull if you're a sig owner. Over the past year or so i've been pretty focused on it and the improvement is noticeable.MESSAGE ME FOR ARMAGLOCK COUPON CODES!!!!

That first pull is pretty tough, much harder(but smoother) a pull than my CZ and HK. The single action is pretty awesome though, by far my favorite SA. I guess its built like that for safety purposes.Comment

There was an all-black 220 combat, supposedly a special run. They had them at Turner's but I got mine new at Royal Pawn.
