what is the reason for the cut just forward of the first cut (for the index finger)?

For the support hand when shooting USPSA. It also tells me if my support hand grip is in the ideal spot (for me), reason why I didn't cut it long.

Slight undercut with a little blending.

M&P 45, undercut with support hand notch. Tree bark style texture.

I even shaved off the little bump when I did the undercut, then restippled the from strap.
