If I decide to sell a Colt at breakfast, it'll be bought by lunch. DW's also have a fan base...but not like the ponies. 1911 Colt's are the standard and DW's are knock-offs.

    OK...now the prairie is burnin'

Disclaimer: Yes I am prejudiced, I am a Colt dude

Gotta love these "My brand is better than your brand" threads.

I own a DW Valor and the fit, and definitely the finish is better than my Les Baer. In my hands, as well my friends' hands, the Valor is more accurate than the LB also (P2 1.5" guarantee). I have shot a factory Colt Cold Cup side by side with the Valor and even though it felt like a rattle can, the Colt was shooting one-hole groups the same as the Valor.

Given the choice, I'd take DW Valor again. Most, if not all Colts I've seen and shot have not been very good with the exception of that Gold Cup. Now granted, most of the Colt 1911s I've shot have been range rentals so they may not have received the best care, but they are just too unreliable for my liking and jammed quite a bit.
