Springfield Loaded Target in 9mm

OP, I just went through all of this with my Loaded 9mm.
Tripp Research Cobras work fine, but I still needed to change the slide stop with a Wilson 'Bullet Proof' slide stop to make the gun run flawlessly for IDPA matches. (Slide was not locking back on empty mags)
The Wilson mags didn't work until I replaced the springs with the same springs used in the Tripp Research mags.

I'll be looking for the Wilson Combat mags, they work just fine in my .45 so I trust they will work in my 9mm also.

I've had great results with Tripp. No issues. I'm going to try some of the new CMC Powermags in 9mm and see how they fare. I've always had good results with Powermags in .45acp.

Can't go wrong with either Cobra mags or Wilson. I use both flawlessly on mine. They both cost more than the other cheaper ones but they are way worth it. I only run with these on all my 1911s!!!!

This. Sometime down the road I am going to pick up a dozen of these.

The Wilson Combat and Metalform (Dawson) 10 rounders are full of fail.

There are 2 styles of Metalform 9 rounders though, one with a spacer and the oem Springfield version with a ramp in the front. I have had decent results with both.

I have used these in my Loaded for a couple of years now with zero issues.

+1 I've never heard of anyone ever having an issue with a Wilson mag.

MecGar 1911 magazines are as good as anything I've tried. Not sure if they make a 9mm version, but if they do I'd check those out. They are also usually cheaper than WC but still run perfectly.

Tested a bunch of 9mm CMC Powermags. All of them worked just fine, though a bit hard to seat into the magwell when fully loaded.

Years of competition and you run into everyone that has broken something at some point in time.. I've seen wilson with cracks. That was enough for me to reconsider using them.

I purchased Tripp as they are the most recommended 1911 mag in competition circles, period.

Yes, other magazines will work. Yes you can find cheaper brands. But having the reliability and longevity adds to the value and helps justify the costs of getting Tripp mags over other brands.

Mine has worked pretty well with the Wilson mags. I did need to replace all the springs with Wilson springs before it was reliable. Polished the bottom of the hood to aid this as well. Very soft shooting pistol.

Metalform and Chip mags work for me. Wilson etm too but I sold those to match all metalform.

I recently looked into this very topic having just picked up the same gun. As with the .45, if you're just looking for standard cap mags (9 rnd), there are a number of options that seem to work well. Once you bump up to a 10 rnd 9mm mag, the Tripp mags are the only ones that got consistent praise over on the 1911 forum. Be advised that they are backordered until April, however.

Don't wait too long as all indications are that SA has discontinued this model. Recently seen at Reed's, Bay Area Gun Vault, Sportsmen's Supply, and Targetmasters. Best price at Targetmasters. Also available online (sometimes).

Online supply has been drying up this past week or so it seems... I'm not even sure if the one I nabbed at GrabAGun is going to ship or not... still waiting. edit: My order arrived at my FFL last week... they failed to send me shipping confirmation until I inquired (again) about my order earlier this week. Go figure.

SFBA dealers are listing it just north of $1k, I think. I know some PPTs are moving them for around $1050 or so. Check this thread for more recent info.
