    Springfield Loaded Target in 9mm

I just bought a stainless Springfield Loaded Target in 9mm. I need to buy a few magazines - any suggestions by those who already have one? From what I read, it looks like Springfield and Metalform work fine and that Metalform actually makes the "Springfield" version.

Will "any brand" 1911 magazine in 9mm work in the 9mm 1911, just as "any brand" 1911 magazine in 45 ACP works in pretty much any 1911? By "work" I mean fit & function, I realize some mags work better than others.

      Springfield Loaded Target in 9mm

It is my first time shooting the loaded target 9mm today. I spent some times polished the trigger bar, disconnector and the trigger pull is really sweet now. This becomes my favorite "go to" range pistol.

200 rds freedom ammo and not a single failure on ammo/magazines. If the OEM mags continue to work, I will take advantage of the yellow coupon inside the box. It is $25 with the springfield coupon.

I have 5 factory SA 9mm magazines that I have been using for 13 years now with no problems.

Thanks for the info. Glad to know the Wilsons work, was thinking the plastic on the front edge might interfere.

Same thing with my PM9. If you order them from Harrison Custom, you can them finished in melonite for a few extra bucks.

I highly recommend the Tripp Research. easy to disassemble for cleaning and the biggest plus is that it holds 10. And it comes with a nice base pad.

You should have a loaded coupon to buy Springfield/Metalform for cheap. Tripp is what use as well.

I would just try or buy just one Wilson before you buy many. Some reports of nose diving. Their 47D/ETM in 45 are legendary, no so with their 9mm offering.

Also just a tip to all of us with 9mm 1911's, check to see if your new magazine taps your ejector, fit as needed (ejector not magazine).

Metalform makes the SA factory mags. $18.99 at MidwayUSA

Metalform and Tripp Research mags is what I use. I have one Wilson Combat 9mm magazine and I have to say that is the only mag where I've had a couple of failures with.

we have both Springfield and Metalform 9 round mags. The Metalform appear to feed FP loads more consistently and it's almost impossible to strip rounds out of the Springfield mags. The Metalform 10 round mags have a very good reputation and are less expensive than Tripp, but everyone is out of stock
