Ok, I was at the Range tonight shooting my Pistol and it Blew up in my hand-I was Shooting the Range Reloads that I purchased at there last sale. I had taking 200 rounds with me all Shot fine except for 3, two did not cycle on there own I had to hand eject them and the third Blew up my Pistol. So my question to the Forum is The range where I was Shooting responsible for my Gun blowing up and do they need to Replace it....

Not to be a jerk, and maybe you're trolling, but it sounds like you might have squibbed two, then fired a round into an obstructed barrel, which sounds a lot like operator error.Originally posted by tony270It's easy to be a keyboard warrior, you would melt like wax in front of me, you wouldn't be able to move your lips.Originally posted by repubconservPrint it out and frame it for all I careOriginally posted by el chivoI don't need to think at all..XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOriginally posted by pjsigYou are talking to someone who already won this lame conversation, not a brick a wall. When you ejected the mis-fires, did a complete round eject out each time?Ok, I was at the Range tonight shooting my Pistol and it Blew up in my hand-I was Shooting the Range Reloads that I purchased at there last sale. As Milsurpguy2000 points out, you likely had a squib load (can be a partial load) where the bullet gets lodged. You get an empty case on ejection. The reason the case didn't eject on its own is you didn't have enough energy to cycle the gun, same reason the bullet got lodged.
The above describes a user error. When you suspect a squib, you need to inspect the bore to assure the bullet left the barrel.
If I were you, I would approach the range, explain what happened (if the above is indeed what happened). I would suggest them splitting the cost of repair/replacement of the gun with you. Ultimately you were at fault because you didn't inspect the barrel for obstructions, BUT it would not have happened without the ammo being defective. When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."Comment
