    Squirrel problem

They have taken over my yard

Will a .177 take them out

All shots will be taken at 15 to 20. Yards.

What brand and model should I buy , trying to stay around 200.00

    Thanks

My dad's been killing squirrels with an old (early 1960's) pump-action air pistol & BB's for DECADES. .177 oughta be able to git-r-done.

I’ve been using a 34 in .22 for a long time. Knocks them over. Fast bleed out. But I don’t know why a .177 wouldn’t work.

A .177 is plenty to take them out, I have a Benjamin pistol with a riffled barrel that has taken out crows at 25 yards, I think Big 5 still carries them.

Mine is an older pump model! 4 pumps and it's deadly to small game.

It's a "springer", not my preferred precharged pneumatic (PCP) but it's well inside your price range and has stellar reviews: Hatsan Mod 95.

Just take a little care in picking them up, seems the fleas that carry the bubonic plague live on our squirrels, for the last 100 years.

Very good point! Use a shovel and bag the carcass, then out to the trash can.

As long as they are ground squirrels and not tree squirrels. Also not in urban areas.

Expensive with 17 hmr using non lead. pellets are cheap.
