Oregon CHL - New process via Permitium as of 5/1/24 for Klamath County

I Just rewnewed my Oregon CHL through the Klamath County. As of May 1, 2024 they are doing everythihng through Permitium. They prefer everyone use this new system but offered me the option of coming in an waiting since my appointment would have been late June and after my permit expired. I did use Permitium to upload everything and pay last Friday, when I found out, having already filled out the paper form. I called and explained my situation and that I was going to be in Grants Pass visiting my parents for Mother's Day. They said since it was so new of a process, I could stop by on Tuesday and if there was anyone there with an appointment, I'd have to wait. I got there at 9:15 AM and was in and out in under 30 minutes with CHL in hand. There were 4 others there for the same thing, we were all out of there by 9:45.

So if using Permitium, are they requiring in-person as well? Or all done online?

You still have to come in for your photo and for them to hand you your CHL on renewals, but that can be scheduled. If a new application, I suspect that will include fingerprinting as well.
