Having a AZ ccw is very beneficial. Especially for people like me who often travel to AZ and NV frequently. Worth it.

I have a DD 214 my total cost was $11 to have a LE agency roll my prints and the $60 to AZ. No middleman was needed or wanted. Oh and postage fees of course. I sent certified.

If AZ truly only had 60k permits issued probably that is because it is a constitutional carry state and open carry is legal as well.

For those using their DD214's for AZ, you must have a copy of page "Member-4". Page "Member-1" is the shorter DD214 page and doesn't include the reason for discharge like "Member-4" does (Honorable, etc) which AZ requires. Look at the bottom right of you DD214 before sending it in. If you send in "Member-1", AZ won't accept it.
Used my husbands DD214 for his AZ CCW. Just took a look at it and it has Report of Separation from Active Duty 1 on the bottom right. Character of service "Honorable" is in box 9. AZ accepted this just fine.

I am currently OC resident with CCW. I want to make my Nevada second residence my primary, retaining my OC residence as secondary until it sells. Therefore anticipate being back and forth until it sells.
QUESTION: Can I retain my California CCW until I sell my OC residence even though Nevada is my primary?

                  Thank you, 38Special

I have already obtained the necessary forms from CCW unit to notify change of address; however, I was hoping that residency was residency whether primary or secondary.

I like to think my students get their money's worth from my classes, above and beyond the ability to apply for a AZ/UT permit.

AZ's training requirement is actually quite low--the applicant must take a class taught by an NRA instructor where firearm safety is a component of the class. That's it. No requirements regarding class duration or any other content. So in theory I could ask you to show me you can safely load/unload a pistol and say you're good to go in less than a minute.

I've asked students at the end of my class if, in retrospect, I gave them that option up front versus taking the class, how many would have preferred doing that instead. To date no one has said they would rather have taken the cert and left. They have all been unanimous in saying they enjoyed the class and learned something new.

I'm like you. If someone wants to take a quick CCW class from me, they can't. I prefer to give them some value for their money and normally run my multistate classes like my CA CCW classes (without the range time and CA specific rules and laws). So, they tend to run 4-6 hours plus time for fingerprinting and filling out apps. I keep asking for constructive criticism and don't get much.

Having one though allows you to legally carry in more places, plus the added benefit of reciprocity in 30+ other states.
