A stupid question here, but how does this help us in CA unless national reciprocity happens, thus forcing CA to acknowledge another state's CCW license?

I'm still strongly considering it anyway just to have good training.

Well, that's not "as cheap as possible". I charge $25 for two fingerprint cards for the AZ permit. I charge $80 if someone needs a class for AZ/FL/OR/VA and that includes two fingerprint cards for AZ. BTW, doesn't FL require fingerprinting be done by a LEA?

No one will no what a bill will include until it actually passes. So, there is no way to know.

I travel. Many people do. But other than that I'm trying to bump up the number of state permits that people have. I think Arizona has something like only 60,000 total permits they have issued. I think that with the right focus more interest can be shown and government takes notice. Trust me...

When I first started doing this 15 years ago I was the very first person to ever be fingerprinted at Santa Clara PD for a Florida permit. They thought I made an appointment for a Santa Clara CCW. They would not even meet my gaze... Now fast forward 15 years and they advertise and print people for non-resident CCW to make money!!! It has "normalized" our situation more than people realize.

Sent off for AZ myself. Paid $60 to AZ and prints were free from a notary friend.

For others without a current cert - $190 including 2 hour course. Includes fingerprinting.

Questions? I'm here to help people get this done easy and cheap.
Jay, I have to second CSACannoner. $190 for a two hour course isn't "as little cost to those interested as possible". I also teach a UT/AZ/FL/OR/VA CCW class. $75 for four hours of instruction, $15 to roll fingerprints for either UT or AZ. There's at least one other instructor in the Bay Area I know of that teaches a UT/AZ/FL class for about the same price.

If you can fill a class at $190/head, more power to you. But don't delude yourself (or others) that the price you're charging is a bargain.

Shouldn't our friend Jay be required to be a Vendor if he's going to solicit CalGuns Members?

For me being a CA resident, this would be a total waste of my time and money.

You never go out of state?
If not, then yes, waste of time/money. For those of us that like to escape now and then, an out of state ccw comes in handy. I took my AZ ccw course in Arizona. Was only $40 AND included prints 👍🏼
