EDC / Carry sights NON red dot ect.

Im going a minimalist route on original G43.

    What sights are you using?

I know what some may say use what your used too,
Practice practice practice get proficient with what you have.

Im just curious what other are using.

Im leaning towards either XS SIGHTS F8 Tritium Night Sight ,XS 3. dot, or trijicon HD oh yeah night fission

I have had truglo and trijicon on others. Kinda like the U shape.

I understand CCW situation would likely be close range. and quick acquisition is better.

    any Thoughts?

I like the Trijicon night sights. I have them on my Shield and USP-C. They really pop in low light.

Since what will work for me may not work for you, I provide you a few answers that may help you decide...
          1. Pick whatever but diligently train/practice with it - you'd find that you'd perform better than those who suggested other options but never practiced with them
          2. Take classes with your selected setup, in particular, low light/night classes. You will thus find what works and does not work.
          3. The more you train/practice with your first chosen sights - you'd soon realize what you need, ie., smaller width front sight, wider width front sight, deeper notch, shallow notch, with Tritium or fiber optics, U-shaped or straight, etc.
          4. Talk to folks that can actually perform at a high level than the typical gun owner - ask them how their selection makes them perform at a better than typical level. Many of what you hear/read in the internet are FUDs and/or marketing...

While I did go with the Trijicon HD XR (more precision focussed) - my succeeding pistols are equipped with AmeriGlos (the more cost effective brand of Trijicon). YMMV.

I like the TFX Pros that came on my Micro 9, but I put XS Big Dots on my CZ and two Shields. I don't think there's a faster, easier sight to get on target day or night than the Big Dots making them, arguably, the best sights for CCW.

When you see the glow in the dark you stand a good chance of breaking a safety rule, it’s to dark to properly ID your target. My HD’s are so I can easily see the gun if I need to grab it in the dark (no, it’s not on the night stand where an unwanted visitor can see them glowing) before turning on a white light and the great daytime visibility they afford.
Fiber optics are fabulous in the sunlight, low light to dark the glow won’t be there as they need light to glow.

Without a red dot, I like a green fiber front and a blacked out rear. YMMV.

For me night sights have always been useless since by the time they glowed enough for them to be useful the ability to PID someone was compromised. A enclosed fiber optic front sight and proper white light techniques will trump useless y gimmicky tritium sight. I'd take a "properly" sighted in name brand light/laser combo over night sights any day or in this case night.

I've used both Trijicon and Night Fision but for non-optic, I like the Trijicon HD XR night sights where the front sight is a thinner post. I can see beyond the target and see my front sight pointed at where I want it.

I have glock 17 and 26 withe trijicon HD XR orange fronts. They are really fast and easy for my eyes but pricey. On my 43 i went with ameriglos version. Almost exact same but, The rear is all black without tritium so they are very affordable. I find the tritium rears worthless for night shooting with a flashlight, so I would get the ameriglo blackout with orange front again
