Seems like it's an answer to a question nobody asked. What can this holster do that a CB SuperTuck (for example) can't? Is it really that hard to conceal a standard IWB handgun that one would be willing to make so many sacrifices in order to tuck a handgun next to their junk?

For me, when I dress for work, I'm in slacks and a tucked-in dress shirt and I'm fairly lean, so an IWB holster looks like I have an IWB holster. There's just no way around it. It looks like a huge bulge. I've tried a lot(putting it lightly) of brands/types of holsters. All the same result. That's why I finally settled on Smart Carry, which is not a perfect solution either. Basically, I'm constantly looking for alternative methods of carry. Hence, I found and tried the Urban.Seems like it's an answer to a question nobody asked. What kind of handgun is it? I'm an average-size guy (5'10 160lb) and I've found that while wearing clothes where IWB prints too much, pocket carry has worked well. Just looks like a wallet. My carries are both compact glocks. For me, when I dress for work, I'm in slacks and a tucked-in dress shirt and I'm fairly lean, so an IWB holster looks like I have an IWB holster. So you have tried a regular belly band? The reason I ask is a belly band, is about 3mm thick. The only think your showing when wearing a band is the width of the weapon. I have hidden everything from a Sig P238 to a Springfield EMP on women 5'4" and smaller, weighing in from 92lbs to about 125lbs.For me, when I dress for work, I'm in slacks and a tucked-in dress shirt and I'm fairly lean, so an IWB holster looks like I have an IWB holster. Typically a belly band despite the name is worn down inside the pants, the weapon set as if you were wearing any IWB, grip above the belt line. In a pinch and for certain concealment reasons, it can be worn higher. This is usually done when the client wants to wear a larger gun. Berretta 92F, full size 1911. Yes I have even seen one used as a shoulder holster, but that was an odd case.
If your wearing Eurofit styles, and packing a Glock 19 then there isn't much anyone can do to make that work.
Worst case of course is moving to an ankle holster, but unless you have great CQC skills, and perhaps a covert blade, this is a poor choice for a primary weapon carry.Last edited by grantar2; 12-15-2015, 12:46 AM.Comment

It's a Shield. I have a Kahr P380 as well that I've tried in pocket. I don't find that guns and dress slacks play well together. Jeans and Khakis work. Just not thin wool dress slacks. Maybe I need some more manly slacks.WTB - S&W 310 or 610 10MM Revolver.

I have a few different Belly Bands. They work "ok". I find the Smart Carry much more comfortable and a much faster draw. I've become fairly quick. About the same as clearing an untucked shirt and grabbing at 4 O'clock IWB Holster. I just look a little crazy practicing with Smart Carry. So you have tried a regular belly band? No one ever looks crazy practicing. The person who looks crazy is the person who gets in a real fight and hasn't practiced.I have a few different Belly Bands. They work "ok". I sell about one smart carry to every 5 belly bands. It's a very usable option. There is no one size fits all in the carry world, the key is being able to get the gun under stress in a real fight, and well on your back or kneeling ect. The Smart carry meets that need and is very covert. Like most holsters of this type you will often times find the person who had problems with it, was trying to carry too much gun.
Sorta - So the smart carry didn't work for you, what where you carrying. Just my AK machine pistol with 30 round mag - Yeah maybe a little too much gun - Need a Hans Solo thigh rig for that and trench coat.Comment

Just got mine in the mail last night. The thing that drew me to this IWB holster vs others is that it completely concealed the gun. I tend to wear more fitted type clothes and don't like the thought of my weapon showing if I'm reaching for something. Ive been carrying an LCP in an uncle George's wallet holster for years, but just got a glock 43 and thought I'd try it out.
I practiced drawing the weapon about 10 times with my belt tightened to where I usually keep it and the gun got caught up every single time. Frustrating. The video said there's a breaking in period so maybe that'll help out. We'll see. I loosened my belt one notch and it was better, but not perfect. This holster will take some practice and getting used to.
I wore it for about 30 minutes walking around and sitting and it's pretty comfortable. I don't have any comfort issues with this holster and I'm pretty sure I could wear it all day without any problems.
So far I like it. It will take some time getting used to, but as I mentioned earlier I love my weapon completely concealed. Hope this helps anyone who is considering it.
Got one as a gift...this pretty much mirrors my findings although I have not played with it enough to break it in or anything like that.
I got a blade kydex holster recently for the XDs and it probly works better but harder to conceal.
pros and cons for everything.1911 ShooterComment
