Doesn't the address on your registration have to match the address on your license?

License is to verify your identity.
Your registration is to verify you are currently living in California.

I'm sure it's been addressed somewhere......but for the life of me I can't find it....and I called but there's no getting through.

I'm readying to apply here in OC for my CCW. I moved last year (HB to Costa Mesa) and my CDL does not reflect the new address....while at AAA a couple months back they entered the new info into the DMV records and gave me the little DMV card that shows my new address (handwritten) to keep with my license.

Is this an issue? I have the utility statements showing my new address.....and DMV records will match, but my physical license is my old house.

Don't know about OC, but in Kern they accept the CDL with the Brown Card, so long as it is date stamped within the last 30 days.

My CDL has my P.O. Box on it. I don't receive mail at my house because the Post Office will not deliver onto "Private Roads".
